This tennis player shows how a mistake can sometimes pay off!
I get the impression this is quite an old clip. Does anyone know the identity of the player(s) involved, or the location and/or date? If so, please let us know in Comments.

The idle musings of a former military man, former computer geek, medically retired pastor and now full-time writer. Contents guaranteed to offend the politically correct and anal-retentive from time to time. My approach to life is that it should be taken with a large helping of laughter, and sufficient firepower to keep it tamed!

The player is Jimmy Connors, and from what i can find out it's from the senior tour in 1991 or 1996.
It's not a legal move today, the raquet has to be in the players hand when it hits the ball, but at the time it was apparently legal to do what he did.
I'd have thought that would be more like MacEnroe… 🙂
not MAC! Mac would have argued the point or the line call, the stupidity of the judge…
Jimmy played for the crowd. I am surprised to read that he was still winning as late as 1990s.
Tennis became a national TV sport during his tenure along with the swede with the headband.
Evidently not national enough for our blogmaster to have seen him. Maybe those were the South African days?
