Boys and their toys again . . .


A very fast toy this time. I think it started life as a conventional ride-on mower, but I rather suspect the engine’s been replaced by something a whole lot more powerful!

I don’t know how many blades of grass will get cut at speeds like that, but I bet the driver’s going to have fun!

  1. That reminds me of the "Tool Time" episode where Tim Allen upgrades the engine of his riding mower with a gas turbine engine.

    That didn't end well…

  2. 10 or 20 horses is probably actually enough. The big deal is the gearing–mowers are generally geared for higher torque and lower speeds, to get you around the yard better. Changing the gearing on a regular mower will lead to some impressive speed.

    It does sound like that motor has been souped up a bit.
