My last day at Home Depot

That’s the title of this video (found courtesy of an e-mail from Steve C.). After watching it, you’ll be in no doubt as to the cause!

If you watch closely, you’ll see the figure of the driver disappear to the left of the picture – but he’s moving so fast, you have to watch carefully. Then again, in his shoes, I’d have done the same!

  1. The next time I can’t get to what I want to buy because they’ve blocked off an aisle “just” so that a forklift is moving in it, I think I’ll be glad I’m not anywhere near.

  2. All I can say is that racking was either badly put together or badly overloaded, as no way that should have come down that easily. We use racking for our own product, and even with our racks loaded nothing has ever come down when the racks have been hit – a they were hit HARD.
That would not happen to proper racking properly fitted.

Sorry that got me ranting, but I’ve worked in the industrial arena for over 40 yrs and safety is one area I get passionate about having seen some terrible accidents in my time.
