It seems the USAF decided to air-drop construction materials to FOB Todd, Bala Morghab, Afghanistan. As the video demonstrates, this might not have been the best method of delivery . . .

Coulda been worse – could have been a man burrowing in instead of gear.
At least it was construction materials rather than a more "breakable" cargo.
Saw a Jeep dropped once with similar results. Used a front-loader to pick up the pieces.
that's much more common than you want to know about 🙂
Typical Air Force… wrong size chutes…
Nosir, that there is a chute FAILURE.
Seen a few of 'em. The proper chute is still atop the hole in the ground the load made 😉
Some where there is a great video of a front-end loader being extracted at ground level from the rear of a C-130. The drag chute pops loose and so does the machine which goes galavanting across the field for several hundred yards.
Not sure if it's a front end loader, but here's one:

The gallivanting vehicle is near 1:15 or so.
