Aerial delivery goes wrong

It seems the USAF decided to air-drop construction materials to FOB Todd, Bala Morghab, Afghanistan. As the video demonstrates, this might not have been the best method of delivery . . .

  1. At least it was construction materials rather than a more "breakable" cargo.

Saw a Jeep dropped once with similar results. Used a front-loader to pick up the pieces.

  2. Nosir, that there is a chute FAILURE.

Seen a few of 'em. The proper chute is still atop the hole in the ground the load made 😉

  3. Some where there is a great video of a front-end loader being extracted at ground level from the rear of a C-130. The drag chute pops loose and so does the machine which goes galavanting across the field for several hundred yards.
