Aviation art – an industrial perspective

I was intrigued to come across a series of aircraft photographs on a Hungarian blog, Outline.  The photographer seems to have taken the view that sharp, crisp details of an old aircraft are artistic in themselves, highlighting components, rivets and the ‘industrial artwork’ that makes it up.  Here are a couple of examples, reduced in size to fit this blog.

There are more images at the link.  Interesting viewing, and a very different perspective from what we normally see in aircraft photographs.

  1. Beautiful stuff. I think this is shot at f22 and long exposures to get that depth of focus.

These things are flying works of art. If you believe that "form follows function" is a reasonable definition.
