Everyone’s winding down tonight as Blogorado draws to a close. We’ve had a couple more days of fun at the shooting range, wandered around admiring horses (both from a distance and, for the more adventurous, from atop them), visited the local swimming hole (with the more energetic climbing down a steep rock face to take pictures, while the rest of us sat on top of the bluff discussing their madness in working so hard in 90-degree-plus temperatures!), eaten enormous quantities of delicious food (FarmMom and her helpers have outdone themselves), drunk ditto of the Atomic Nerds‘ home-brewed beer, and probably doubled the breakfast turnover of a local hostelry every morning.
It’s come on to rain tonight, just in time to be perfect for the farmers but no problem for us. A few have left already, and most of the rest of us will depart tomorrow morning. I’ll be dropping Oleg and Miss D. at the airport in Denver, then heading back across Kansas and Missouri to my home. I’ll try to post more tomorrow night from whatever hotel I use.
Thanks for being patient with the lack of posts. Things will be back to normal by the end of the week, all being well.
Peter
Sounds like the rain is going to be with us for a day or so.
If you're coming through Pueblo and have time, lunch is on me. I'm easy to find.
Wish we had been able to join you.
Peter, give us a holler when you get close and we'll keep the light on for ya!
Travel Safe Peter, enjoyed the conversation(s) and finally getting to meet Miss D 🙂
