California’s drought bites harder

I came across this video clip today.  It’s a sobering reflection on what the drought in California is doing to the ‘little people’, those below the radar of the major news media, and the way their lives are being disrupted.  Highly recommended viewing, preferably in full-screen mode.

(If you have problems viewing the video, you’ll find the original here.)

Makes you think, doesn’t it?  What happens if the entire farming sector in California goes under?  That’s more than 10% of US agricultural output, and the source of the majority of our fresh fruits and vegetables . . .

  1. That's what happen when you double your population while "freeing the rivers" from dams that capture the snowmelt. This one isn't going to be over any time soon.

  2. Dire situations require drastic actions to correct. Whether there are enough left in California to put the bureaucrats in their place remains to be seen.

  3. The enviros stopped our water supply due to a 2" smelt being killed in the pumps.
That water now flows to the ocean.
Fish over people…is this a great country or what?

  4. It pains me to see what my native state has become. I can remember when Californians had some freaking SENSE, and even made Regan Gov. After the FAILURE of Gov. Moonbeam's dad, Pat. The Freebies will not be happy until the society collapses and the big die-offs of population occur, because their self hatred makes them hate their own species…..
