The Daily Mail reports on a strange golf challenge recently held in Dubai.
Looking for an activity to pass the time, four golfing friends took to the sands in Dubai and accepted the challenge set by them: to shoot their golf balls at – and directly hit – clay pigeons, fired up into the Middle East sky.
Their efforts were filmed – and the video has become an internet sensation, attracting almost half a million hits in just a fortnight.
Thongchai Jaidee, a four-time European Tour Winner and the man who holds the record for most career victories and most career earnings on the Asian Tour, headed the star-studded four-ball team who swung their clubs in the dunes.
The Thai golfer was joined by Swede Johan Edfors, a three-time European Tour Winner, and Englishmen Simon Khan and David Horsey.

That’s amazing! I would have said it was a pure fluke that one ball hit a clay pigeon, but looking at how close they got, so often, clearly it wasn’t a fluke. Lucky, perhaps, but that still took real skill!
