Scott Adams has a wonderful way of slipping the funny-knife between his readers’ ribs.  Click the image to be taken to a larger version at the Dilbert cartoon Web site.

As a former pastor and qualified pastoral counselor, I’ve run across this sort of malpractice several times:  where a therapist has gotten involved with one partner in a marriage, and abused his/her position to persuade the other to accept, or tolerate, or disregard, his adultery.  In theory, at least, this should result in the disbarment of the counselor from any further involvement in the field, but professional associations have failed to make that mandatory.  There’s always other ways of accomplishing the same thing, of course . . .

  1. Nobody really knows what's under the sand in the desert, or what's in a gator's belly – depends on where you live.

  2. In the Army, we had a chief warrant send his good buddy the senior NCO on lots of cool temporary duty outings. Naturally, the chief helped keep his buddy's wife warm at night while her hubby was gone.

Chest freezer, wood chipper, moving water or pig pen. In that order.
