Heh

Here’s a fun video from Peugeot in the UK.  It’s their April Fool spoof from 2012, showing paint that changes color according to the driver’s mood.

Unfortunately, it’s just an April Fool stunt – but wouldn’t it be fun if it were real?  Given that I now live in cattle country, in Texas, I can just imagine a rancher in his pickup truck, watching his cows.  I wonder what color it would turn?  Dung brown?  Dollar green?

Verily, the mind doth boggle . . .

  1. Watch – if they ever do make color-changing paint, it'll be banned because the authorities won't be able to read the color of the car from its registration. So, of course, it will remain available to criminals.

Just imagine committing a crime, then as soon as you're around the corner, your black car turns white … hmmm, I think I read something like that in one of the "Stainless Steel Rat" books 20 or 30 years ago.

Come to think of it, I had a comic when I was a child featuring the 3 Stooges. One of them had a car painted green on one side and blue on the other, so that people's descriptions of the car would differ when he got into an accident.

  2. Vince has been fired for thinking sexist thoughts about his co-worker.
The spokeswoman has settles a claim for $35,000 and used the money to buy a BMW.

  3. In the days of yore, I drove a small Peugot from Reading to Milan and back. After the beast broke down, again, on getting off the Channel Ferry, I said to my friend who was going off for help, "A good Captain goes down with his ship."

    She laughed.The Peugot was rubbish.
