Is this the Deep State at work? Is the Swamp extending its tentacles?

I’m sure most of my readers are aware of Tucker Carlson’s extended interview with Tony Bobulinski on Tuesday night.  Basically, Bobulinski exposed Joe Biden and his son Hunter as influence-peddlers and grifters who would (and perhaps did) sell out this country for money.  Two salient excerpts from the interview may be found here and here on Fox News’ Web site.  If you missed the initial broadcast, I highly recommend watching them now.  (It seems many other sites are taking down copies of the interview as soon as they’re posted.  Censorship, much?)

There’s a more sinister turn to this.  Documents related to the report were sent to the studio overnight, but “disappeared in transit”.  The package was opened, and its contents removed.

Note Tucker Carlson’s comment:  “They used pictures of what we had sent, so that searchers would know what to look for”.  One wonders whether those “pictures” included scans of the documents themselves, or just the exteriors or first pages.  If the former, then the contents of the documents have been preserved, and are still available.  One wonders . . .

Sundance suggests:

I review this story from a position that I cannot fully explain. However, I have personal experience -recent experience- with a similar and rather unusual situation that cannot be explained by any method other than DHS surveillance. So here’s what I think took place.

The package, likely a Fed-X delivery, was intercepted by FBI agents using mechanisms for tracking and surveillance that open targeting through portals connected to DHS.

As an outcome of the U.S. Patriot Act, the U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security has an agreement in place with mail shipping companies, public/private services, that essentially allows them a portal to track all in-state and interstate mail deliveries.

The FBI has access to this data network in the same way the FBI has access to federal transportation records. Just like when you book a flight and DHS portals are open that allow FBI to track your movements domestically. This type of portal is also accessed in private company transportation like Uber, Lyft etc. DHS, and as a consequence the FBI, can easily track your whereabouts.

Without much hesitation I will bet the FBI was monitoring the communication of Bobulinski, and by extension the entire Tucker Carlson production network. Once the shipment was known to be taking place, the DHS portals are opened; the package is tracked; and the FBI moves in to intercept the delivery.

The transport company doesn’t need to be participating because they are essentially unneeded. Their system network is connected to the FBI.

That’s the likely scenario.

Wanna bet?

There’s more at the link.

I suspect Sundance is correct.  Certainly, I know of no other entity that can so seamlessly – and tracelessly – remove the contents of an overnight package without anyone else noticing or being aware of it.

Was this the Deep State acting in desperation, trying to protect its favored candidate for the Presidency of the United States?

Your guess is as good as mine . . . but that’s my guess, as well as Sundance’s.  I hope that Mr. Carlson’s staff did, indeed, make and keep copies of the documents before shipping them.

Remember in November!  We have one chance, and one chance only, to stop this sort of thing dead in its tracks before it becomes routine.  We must elect Congressional representatives, Senators and a President who have at least some values worth having.  If we don’t, and the value-less gain power . . . this sort of thing will happen routinely.  We’ll all be under the thumb of the faceless Deep State, sucked into the Swamp, victims of Big Brother.

God forbid!

  1. Was this the Deep State acting in desperation, trying to protect its favored candidate for the Presidency of the United States?

I think it's the Deep State acting to protect itself. The only reason they'd do anything for their favored candidate is that the candidate wants to expand the Deep State, making it even bigger and more powerful.

As recently as even a year ago, I'd have said, "the top bureaucrats at the FBI are crooked, but the rank and file agents are still OK."

Not anymore. The whole agency is corrupt. If there are good guys there, they're systematically suppressed. Which says there can't be good guys there because nobody is bringing cases against the management. Nothing is visible. No whistleblowers, no inside "anonymous sources" talking with any media. Nothing. They are now agents of, or the very definition of, the Deep State.

I had high hopes for Atty General Barr and Durham. The fact that nothing much has happened has dimmed those hopes, too.

The reality is that it's too much to expect any one man, or even groups of a few, to have an effect on the deep state.

The only thing that surprises me is that some of the deep state hit jobs have been sloppy and too obvious, although still being effective.

  2. There is that infamous saying: "A fish rots from the head down."
    Obviously so do government agencies.
They had eight years to appoint partisan corruptible oathbreaking senior managers in every major government role and those in turn did the same downstream in their individual organizations. Probably not a majority in the FBI or elsewhere, but key positions.
Of course they are panicked. Hillary was supposed to squash any investigation of their rampant corruption and seal the deal for the democrat/socialist takeover of our country. Instead, questions are still being asked by a hard headed businessman and his personal attack dogs. As I have always said, Trump is of course an egotistical A-hole, but he is OUR egotistical A-hole at a juncture when that is precisely what is needed.
Biden wins and everything gets swept under the rug either by executive order, most likely written by Harris, or any embarrassing evidence of malfeasance simply gets seized and buried by Federal agencies.
Trump wins and the rot will do everything in their power to bring our country down. If they cannot have it, they will do their level best to see that little is left for us to have either.

  3. If there are copies, we'll hear about them by tomorrow. Right now the story is government interference. If there are copies then Tucker is letting the story play before bringing out the documents right before the weekend, to force the Sunday talking heads to cover the story.

If there are no copies then Tucker needs to fire someone.

  4. Something is wrong with the logic posted. It is far easier to just make the package disappear. Letting an empty container arrive just flags the situation even worse…

  5. SiGraybeard has it, I think.

Biden is a lost cause; polls are moving quickly toward Trump–and even if Trump loses, Biden leaves office after a few weeks or so.

Thus, Biden is not a concern, and his family is certainly collateral damage, no bid deal.

But there's a LOT more where that came from in Pentagon, State, GSA, the Senate, the House, and the Intel Blob.

    So yah, it's protecting itself.

  6. I'm with @CDH

Leaving an empty envelope ripped open is bad trade craft. Makes more sense to just take the whole thing.

UNLESS, there is RFID embedded in the shipping labels, which would make taking the envelope out of the building.

Either way, perhaps the envelope being left was the message, not the stealing of the contents.

It's hard not sounding like a conspiracy loon with stuff like this.

  7. UPS is now saying they have found the missing documents. Guess someone wanted their own copy…

    https://www.dailywire.com/news/breaking-ups-responds-to-disappearance-of-tucker-carlson-package-damning-to-biden

UPDATE: UPS told The Daily Beast Thursday that they have located the missing documents sent to Tucker Carlson after an “extensive search.”

“After an extensive search, we have found the contents of the package and are arranging for its return,” the UPS spokesman told the news outlet. “UPS will always focus first on our customers, and will never stop working to solve issues and make things right.”

  8. What I think this means: Someone stole the documents because they wanted time to read through them and see who else was implicated. Finding only the Bidens were implicated, they could heave a sigh of relief and let them be "found" again – particularly because all the publicity was causing as many problems for them as the Biden scandal itself.

Who might want to make sure they weren't implicated? Your guess is as good as mine . . . but I think there are several candidates.

  9. Keep in mind the "new" documents might be faked or have damning evidence redacted.

Also who in their right minds sends documents by mail in a nation like the US? Are people still so naive that they think that the intelligence services don't watch everything?

I mean really, UPS is fully online and if you can track your stuff, everyone else can even easier.

The proper way such things are sent is by multiple trusted couriers under the assumption they are being watched.
