  1. That seemed a little closer to the treeline than necessary. My ukrainian is rough but I suspect that's what the guy at the end of the tape said too

  2. Hey Peter;

    This might be by design, remember they are involved with an expansionist Russia and if they can by social media show that they are super skilled with a ground attack fighter it might give the Russian pause.

  3. Most Russian aircraft have this weird aesthetic that I've always found appealing. The Flanker, the Fulcrum, the Backfire, the Blackjack and even the Bear just had this exotic look that you couldn't see coming from any other country.

    And yeah that pass was low. And awesome.

  4. Might depend on the pilot. I remember SRs would occasionally pull stunts somewhat like this and more often than not it was just a chewing out and slap on the wrist, if that.

    Neat video. I do wonder if the pilot intended to go that low. At one point it almost seemed like it might be a recovery of lost control.

  5. I'm wondering if the tower was near the camera guy, and if the pilot had been watching "Topgun" prior to this flight. "It's time to buzz the tower, Goose."

    Tom Cruise recently announced that he will be making a Topgun movie in about a year. Val Kilmer wants in.

  6. My wife and friends used to sunbathe on a lake south of Barksdale AFB. They routinely had warthogs come out of the sun and suddenly appear below tree top using them as targets. Happens in the US.

  7. Doesn't anyone know how to EDIT these days? Almost a minute of NOTHING for 15 seconds of action. I don't really need that minute of staring at a flight line to get the context.

  8. david7134, that happens to us with the crop dusters. Our house is the turn point for fields on either side of us and sometimes I think they could trim our tree tops!
