1. Wizards. Alcohol. Now ya got me humming Mussorgsky.
I hadn't encountered "kinetic disassembly" before; always thought it was "rapid unscheduled disassembly".
Another fine lot this week! And… is there anything in particular we should chant while opening the NecroOmnicron? Klaatu brought a necktie or whatever?

  2. I heard my name. Oh, right, you meant the composer. Good set of tunes, particularly "Great Gate of Kiev"

  3. @EricWilner

Try humming "Anus of Uranus" from Klaatu's first album 3:47PM (titled Klaatu in the US).

It's the third track Side 1.

You're Welcome and have a good day

  4. For a real treat try to find a performance of the original (piano) version of "Pictures at an Exhibition".

The orchestral version sounds French. The orginal piano is Russian, especially the final movement.

  5. Crotalus: The one that sprang immediately to mind was "The Hut of Baba Yaga", from Pictures at an Exhibition.

  6. I don't know whether to be disappointed or pleased that the Latin teacher has rediscovered the ancient art of rote memorization and verb chants that were standard pedagogical techniques when I learned Latin.
