I received the pictures below from a friend in law enforcement, who’s given me permission to put them on this blog.
The story is that a deputy was traveling at 90 mph, responding to an urgent call at 4.30 a.m. He hit a bump in the road and lost control of his vehicle. The car went sideways, hitting the curb, then a water main. This launched it spinning into the air, and it landed on its roof.
Citizens in the area pulled the officer from his vehicle, and he was flown to hospital. He apparently has two fractured vertebrae, several broken ribs and possibly a punctured lung. Those who’ve seen the car say he’s lucky to be alive.
He’ll be in a body cast for some months, but is expected to make a full recovery. I suggest he should buy a few lottery tickets while he’s healing. With luck like that, he can’t lose!

Heh, when it comes to buying lotto tics, I tend to think he used up every last drop (then cut the package open and scraped the inside) of his lifes quota of luck… regardless, glad to hear he’s going to be ok!
If it’s against the law to be driving a 90MPG at night, perhaps it’s be wise for the cops to do the same.
I agree with Murphy. His luck is all used up.
Someone lived through that? That is one very lucky officer. Prayers for a speedy recovery.
