Nice camouflage – but don’t smoke in that thing!

I imagine striking a match, or dropping hot ash, inside this heavily camouflaged Japanese military vehicle could lead to interesting consequences.

  1. I remember reading that during WWII the Germans would hide tanks or anti-tank guns in stacks of hay. After falling for it once or twice. US tanks would shot WP into every hay stack just because there might be a gun or tank inside it.

    Having a big stack of green in a barren field is not camouflage.

  2. Would this actually work in the middle of the desert?
    Or on the rolling plains with sparse presence of trees or vegetation?
