Senator Lindsey Graham is a purblind idiot

As evidence, I offer his tweet yesterday:

He’s openly calling for the assassination of a foreign head of state.

Let me say that again.  A United States Senator is openly calling for the assassination of a foreign head of state.

If a foreign politician of equivalent stature were to call for the assassination of a United States President, what do you think the USA’s reaction would be?  Would we be likely to merely sit back and dismiss it as idle chatter, propaganda, mere words that have no meaning in the real world?

Like hell we would!

Therefore, why should we be surprised, or upset, or angry, if President Putin of Russia decides to react to Senator Graham’s threat in the same way that a United States President would likely do?

With this one tweet, Senator Graham has clearly shown that he can’t be trusted to safeguard the interests of his constituents, or his state, or our nation.  He’s a bloviating fool who has no sense of responsibility and no awareness of international realpolitik whatsoever.

I’m no fan of President Putin, and I’m unalterably opposed to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine:  but, as we’ve read in these pages before, both sides in that conflict are at fault, and both bear more than enough guilt for what’s currently unfolding in that part of the world.  To demonize President Putin as the sole reason for the Ukraine war is to defy logic, fact and reality.

I think we’re far closer to an expanded conflict, dragging NATO on the one hand (including the USA), and China on the other (as Russia’s principal ally) into the war willy-nilly, than most people are willing to admit.  China can’t afford to see Russia defeated and humiliated, because that would leave the world in a two-power conflict – China versus Europe and America.  She can’t afford that, so China can be relied upon to support Russia if it comes to the crunch.  NATO is a hollow reed at present, but it can’t afford to see a wider Ukrainian conflict impinge on its easternmost members – Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, and others.  Any NATO response to such a threat will inevitably involve the USA, whether we like it or not.  Similarly, Russia appears to be targeting international shipping in the Black Sea, something that directly and immediately affects NATO members’ economies.  Unless that stops soon, there will almost certainly be some sort of intervention to protect freedom of navigation – and that could be the casus for a much wider belli.

We’re also seeing the globalists increasingly demanding such intervention.  They see the Ukraine war as yet another opportunity to diminish the authority of the nation-state and the status of its citizens, reducing both to greater subservience to the Great Reset and the rule of oligarchs and “experts”.  I’m sure Senator Graham’s idiotic aggressiveness is linked to that – he’s previously shown himself to be in lockstep with the globalist agenda.

As Sundance points out:

If Lindsey Graham, Joe Biden, NATO, the EU, World Bank, International Monetary Fund, Word Economic Forum and the multinational corporations in this alliance of Public/Private geopolitical partnerships, succeed in the fight against Vladimir Putin – I promise you, we are not going to like the world on the other side of their victory.

A few weeks ago, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau sent a clear and specific message to citizens in Canada when he sanctioned the trucker’s bank accounts.  Joe Biden, NATO and EU are right now sending a clear message to the citizens of the world, as they sanction Putin’s bank accounts and the Russian economy.

If you can’t see the connection, you are not thinking carefully enough about it.

Everything will be different now.

. . .

What we are seeing is a full-blown alignment of interests between globalist government and their partnered multinational corporations and financial institutions.

This is not a good thing to witness regardless of the outcome in Ukraine.

Think about the direct message and the implications here. Think about the world of multinational corporate compliance and how they will kneel to the dictates of political power in the aftermath of this current enterprise.

If this collective group of multinationals and government interests succeed in this approach, everything will change.

If you think corporations, Big Tech and Big Banks, et al, are controlling and politically motivated now?  Good grief, just wait.

The global future being outlined in this NATO/EU/WEF strategy to use private industry as a weapon, is like the government attack on Canadian truckers/supporters taken to an exponential scale.

Now, overlay your pending requirement to walk around with a digital identity and you can see exactly how easy it will be to de-person, which is one layer higher than de-bank.

I mean seriously, think about this approach toward Vladimir Putin.  What I just described above is our future if the globalists defeat Putin.  Another question to ask yourself is – what happens if Putin wins?

There’s more at the link, and it’s well worth reading in full.

The world is in a very dangerous position right now, and fools like Senator Graham are making it much more dangerous.  There’s not much any of us can do as individuals to change the outcome – so we’d best prepare ourselves for an uncertain future, as best we can.

  1. Yeah.
What I say that sort of crap, I'm just some rando on the Internet.
When a prominent public official says it, it sounds like official government policy… especially to an audience unaccustomed to anyone (let alone public officials) saying things contrary to policy without getting disappeared.
I seem to recall complaining about this sort of thing during the Obama Administration, unless it was the Obama campaign. When it comes to foreign policy, saying the quiet part out loud is not something public figures should be doing.

  2. I expect we'll see some kind of stalemate or partition in the Ukraine; neither side seems strong enough to defeat the other side. But I could be wrong – I'll admit that I didn't think Putin would actually invade because I couldn't see how it could be a net benefit for him.

  3. Fools are running the Capital asylum. If a foreign head of state proffered the same, and using the non violent Jan. 6th trespassing result by our “Leadership” as the threshold, one could extrapolate the response should be massive. Unfortunately half of Congress is purchased and a bunch of cowards, so maybe when the threat is real they’ll fold like the cheap umbrellas they are.

  4. Well, what's stopping Graham The Brave from getting on a plane to Moscow and doing it himself ?

    1. Their is a video of him with some alleged Ukraine soldiers in allegedly Ukraine promising 10 billion or some such nonsense.

He is everything wrong with the establishment politicians from both parties.

  5. Putin as "sole reason": No.
"Sine qua non" (i.e., the thing without which, there is nothing): Absolutely yes.
Remove Putin from the equation, and the war goes away.
    QED

We figured that out all by our ownselves four days ago. Grahmnesty needed a full staff and a week of cogitating, but then he's a mere senator.

Saying it out loud: dumb@$$ery, for sure.
But he isn't wrong for saying it.
Just for saying it out loud.
    That's the real rub.

For those of you residing south of the Manson-Nixon Line, I believe the correct response to Lindsey's impolitic eructation is "Well, bless his heart."

  6. I propose a . . . alternative plan.

If and when actual hostilities involving NATO begins, may I suggest that all actors in the melee target those who are pushing globalization.

Note I did not say those who support, but those who are pushing it; i.e., the "designers".

We could perhaps designate that exercise of independent action a demonstration of what awaits even if globalization is successful.

  7. "Remove Putin from the equation, and the war goes away."

More likely the missiles fly and we all burn. Way to prove Putin's point about the West, Aesop.

  8. Remove him, and what missiles fly, chief?

Russia? No. They'd be the ones doing the notional removing (perhaps you missed that pivotal point in the entire discussion?).
    U.S.? No.
    UK? No.
    France? No.
    China? Doubtful in the extreme.
    India? No.
    Israel? No.
    Pakistan? No.
    The Norks? LOL.
    Iran? No warheads.
Who does that leave? Freedonia? Grand Fenwick? Parador?

Other than lacking any likelihood from any possible source, nice attempt.
But even the Russian judge is giving it a 2.0.

  9. Ha! You still think 14 Arabs with box cutters took down the Trade Centers. And now you out yourself as a boot licking globohomo supporter? You're done. Nothing but dumb ass Boomers in here.

  10. Peter, A few months ago you pointed out there only 2 ways to regime change. An untainted ballot box, or revolution (death of the regime leaders). Putin himself has eliminated the former with his president-for-life status. Since the Ukraine invasion seems to depend primarily upon Putin's ambitions, that leaves only elimination of Putin and henchmen to make it stop. Rather like Tom Clancy's "Red Storm Rising". As far as I can read, pretty well all other options lead to escalation & WW3. Your Politician may be a clown, but this time your clown speaks truth, albeit unpalatable.

  11. Putin has said he feels like he is an heir to the Tsars and IMHO if he were to emulate Tsat Paul I that would be fine by me.

However as others above have noted there's a difference between some rando on the internet (me) and an elected US Senator (Graham).

  12. Jonathan H said…I expect we'll see some kind of stalemate

    Nope
Putin will take control of Ukraine.
Ukraine does not have the resources to prevent it.
The propaganda on this is up to 11. Can't trust any media in this and since the Democrats want intervention and involvement, they will lie the most (kind of hard to beat the Russians for lying but impressive)
The current Ukraine President will probably go down in history as a nit wit.
I hope Putin goes out soon like Stalin did.

  13. And just how well did assassinating Caesar work out for Brutus, or for Rome? Peace broke out all over the ancient world, once they had J.C out of the way, right?
Lindsay know his history and his Shakespeare, that's for sure.

    JWM

  14. Aesop, You are DELUSIONAL. You think the Russian people are just you with a different accent? They WANT Putin. They LIKE the government they have.

You try to take him out and it would just like if the Russians took out our POTUS. (Well, maybe not Biden, but most any other POTUS would activate the Nationalism Hysteria reaction. There'd be smoke trails leaving those Nebraska fields in minutes.)

You imagine assassinating Putin will solve your problem in the Ukraine? That's the kind of irrational crazy thinking you blame Putin for.

  15. Its amazing when these experts who have nothing but failure to show lecture anyone. Having said that its truly amazing that we hear how evil it is to call for the assassination of a man who strated a mindless war that will result in the deaths of tens of thousands and could reach levels that are truly mindless.

I love to see the clutching of pearls of these clowns. We can stand by and watch nuclear reactors shelled and condemn a senator for speaking common sense? What is the penalty for unleashing war by the war? An end to your Cosmo subscription.

I am sickened of these leaders that allow war to prosper but my true ire is reserved for those who think once war is engage in is governed by Sunday Tea Party rules.

Really? In war, and I've been in three, there are only the dead and survivors. No heroes or wise men, just the lucky and those who are dead or maimed. And the authors of these atrocities seldom pay for what they have done, and I don't mean the Putins.

  16. On the (particularly those) Canada sanctions, NOW we know for sure why they want a ca$hle$$ economy/$ociety. Get those $$$$$$$$$$ you are loaning the banks for free out of their hand$.
