I dare that eagle to try that on a Florida mockingbird. When I see mockingbirds and raptors together around here, it's usually the m-bird on the raptor's tail, cussing and harassing him. Mockingbirds are Skeered o' Nuthin! and are made of skin, bones, and nerves. And nerve. They'll dive at your head, and at your kitty, and mock both of you. Sometimes they get eaten for this, but they just don't seem to care.
P.s. The last critter my kitty killed and ate before he retired was a Florida mockingbird. I think he would have left it alone, except that it was mocking him.
