  1. Doesn't it seem like water on a gasoline fire should spread it around a bit more then that did? Not complaining, always a good entertainment value ;). Just seems curious -Boyd K

    Based on nothing more than what we both saw here and a little common sense based guesswork, whatever that's worth, here's my 2 cents.

    I think the water moved it around the way we saw because it was being dumped from water bottles, kind of at the edge of the blaze, which meant the water pooled and flowed down the hood to shove it along.

    Now, if they'd had a water hose and a spray nozzle and splashed it down chalk center of the blaze, I'd imagine we'd have seen something different happen.

    No expertise behind what I've writ, just the way it looks to me, so take it or leave it as you please.
