These two video clips of crashes from the 2010 rally series are entertaining viewing, particularly for motorsports fans. I’m informed that no-one was seriously hurt in any of the accidents depicted here.
I imagine traffic cops all over the world, on seeing this video, will be adding the names of every local rally driver to their little black books . . .

There doesn't seem to be much regard for the safety of the spectators—other than hiding behind some trees. I wonder how many of them were hit?
I'm interested in Rally. I've been researching the roll cage requirements and other people's stories of building cages. I am suddenly a lot more nervous about my own skill as a welder…
The vast majority of these wrecks don't involve a sudden harsh stop. That's what can kill ya. The first two on the second video look the worst to me – sudden stops, esp. at a sideways angle.
Peter, as coincidence would have it, I came across this today as well:
50 years of driving sideways
"About as complete a history of modern (as of the early 2000s) rally driving as you'll find, anywhere, compressed into just 90 minutes. Watch it for the slow-motion shots of leaping Mitsubishis and interviews with the late, great Colin McRae. Or just watch it because it sounds like my dreams taste."hunp
See what you have done now?:

It's a miracle no one was killed… And I agree with Jim, it's the sudden stops that tend to do it.
Guessing here, but – Those crazy Finns and their busted SatNavs.
I'd feel safer strapped into a rolling car than I would as a spectator!
