  1. I have to admit that I've done such when I was much younger. I wanted to see if I could, and it was good exercise. I also picked a time when there was very little traffic.

So, I guess I'm a doofus. Has anyone else asked the question can it be done and attempted it?

Keep up the good work Peter.

  2. I did that once, too. Like Jerry, I picked a time when there was no one around, and it was definitely a workout. It was fun, too. And I know I'm a doofus, but not a doofus of the dangerous sort.

  3. Good for you Jerry and Shrimp! Back when I was young, fit and had two good knees I wanted to do that at the Porter Square "T" station in the Boston area. Supposedly the Porter Square T has the second longest escalator in the US, after a Metro station in Washington DC.

I never tried it then and suppose you'd get arrested if you tried a similar stunt these paranoid days. I did console myself by running the Porter Square stairs a few times, but couldn't imaging doing either stairs or escalator in high-heeled boots like that woman.
